Viktor Sergeevich Konovalenko (11 March 1938 - 20 February 1996) was an ice hockey goaltender in the Soviet Union. He played for the Torpedo Gorky (now Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod) team from 1956 to 1972. Konovalenko led the Soviet team to the IIHF World Championships title every year from 1963 to 1968, 1970, and 1971. He was named the most valuable player in the Soviet league in 1970. The Konovalenko Sports Palace, arena for the Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod Team, is named after him. ==External links==
